Meet officials and other volunteers needed
Did you know it takes 25 parent volunteers from each team to run one MCPS swim & dive meet? This means we need your help to enable our athletes to compete. The only jobs that require advance training (certification) are stroke & turn judge, referee, or starter - and anyone can time! If you are currently certified by MCSL or PVS - or if you want to volunteer to help in any other capacity - please contact Sandra Glasser at sanglass50@aol.com to get on the list. Thanks.
Party and breakfast schedules
Contact Susan Levine at levidavi@comcast.net (301-439-3822) or Amy Alvord at aalvord@verizon.net to sign up to sponsor team breakfasts and parties.
Althletic paperwork
All athletes interested in joining the swim & dive team must turn in their forms to Ms. Scholnik in Room G108.  Practices start Tuesday, November 16th at 5:15 am at MLK pool.  If you have not turned in your forms, you will not be allowed to practice.
Practices
Swim practices are Tuesdays and Thursdays, 5:15 am - 6:15 am at the Martin Luther King Swim Center (MLK).  First practice is Tuesday, November 15.  Practices will be held at this time and location throughout the season, which ends before the Metro meet.  All athletes are to attend practices in compliance with established policies.
No practice days
There will be no practices, meets, or team meetings on Sundays, Thanksgiving, Christmas, winter break holidays, Martin Luther King's Birthday, and Presidents' Day.
Inclement weather policy
If you hear on the radio that Saturday activities have been cancelled, the swim meet will be cancelled.  If there is a delayed opening, meets will work as follows:  If school activities start at 12:00 pm, and we are scheduled for a 11:30 meet, then the meet is cancelled.  If we are scheduled for a 1:00 pm meet, we should be at the pool by 12:30 pm.
